If you have seen my Instagram you’d have noticed that I have a slight obsession with nail painting and nail art designs (if you haven’t, the link is in my ‘about’ section). So I thought I’d do a double whammy and review two top nail products – Lori Greiner by Orly’s Manicure Keeper and Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Top Coat.
Lori Greiner by Orly’s Manicure Keeper – < £10 on Ebay
Lori Greiner by Orly’s Manicure Keeper is aahhh-mazing, it’s super fast at drying which is perfect for a basecoat, as if you’re anything like me, I hate waiting forever for a plain basecoat!! The main selling point for this particular base coat is that it claims that it’s ‘rubberized’ finish enables the nail paint to last longer and safeguard against chipping. I was pretty chuffed when my Grandma bought this for me and couldn’t wait to give this a whirl! Before this I was using the Nails Inc base coat and my nails really suffered during term time since I had to wash up everyday at Uni, so my nail paint really didn’t last longer than two days, if I was lucky! Since using this my nail varnish has noticably lasted longer! WOOO! Although I have finished Uni for the year and I have been re-united with the dishwasher so I haven’t been washing up everyday, plus it is summer (woohoo) which means my nails are in much better condition, so my nail varnish is lasting even longer with this beauty! I would totally recommend! So thanks Grandma!
Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Top Coat – £9.00 from Boots
Next up is Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Top Coat, and boy, they were not kidding when they said dry fast!! This is THE fastest drying top coat I have even owned! It is perfect for people who cannot stand around for hours waiting for their nails to dry…so basically, this is perfect for everyone! It is also amazing for those who like to be a little bit more experimental with their nails and bang on a pretty design. I always find I wait for hours for the all the different layers to dry and end up accidentally smudging it after all that hard work! Very stressful! The finish is beautifully shiny and I think it helps the durability of the nail polish too! I again, highly recommend this and works like strawberries and cream with the Lori Greiner by Orly’s Manicure Keeper!!
Nails Inc polish in Wellington Street – £11 (as well as with both products mentioned)
I believe you can purchase the Orly basecoat from any big Boots that have an Orly shelf but the best way is getting it is online on Amazon or Ebay since they don’t seem to sell it on the Orly website! I don’t know how much it costs since it was a present, but there are a few on Ebay for less than £10. Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Top Coat on the other hand is a lot easier to get hold of, it’s available on their website and in Boots for just £9.00.
Lots of love
