Hi guys, I’ve finally finished my exams and second year of university!! Cannot believe how quickly it’s all going! However, with the end of exams I am hoping my blog will be back to weekly posts! So without further ado, let get reviewing! Now I’ve been waiting forever to try this massively hyped foundation! I went to London and into Liberty on Regents Street to have a snoop. The woman who served me was fantastic, she did the whole routine from cleansing my face to finishing off with blusher. Although this did not help my shopping problem! I could have easily bought all the products she used if it wasn’t for the hefty price tags!! She explained all the properties of the particular products and matched me with my foundation. So thank you if you ever come across this post!
I decided to purchase the Sheer Glow Foundation and their Light Optimizing Primer. I can totally understand the hype now of the foundation, it’s awesome!! It’s so lightweight on the skin that it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing any foundation at all. I has a beautiful light to medium coverage with a satin finish. So perfect for the summer as it really brightens and evens out your skin tone. You also only need the smallest amount to apply and NARS recommend to apply with your hands since it warms up the formula to enable a better application, which I totally agree with. I usually use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply my foundation, but for this my fingers work perfectly. The foundation was £31.00 which is pretty standard price for a high end foundation. Next up is the primer. I did not intend to buy anything other than the foundation before I got to Liberty, but this primer is amazing! It was impossible to say no to! Like the foundation you literally need the smallest amount. It had little golden light reflecting particles in the formula which really enables the skin to glow and appear really healthy. The consistency is really smooth and moisturising. The two work wonders together!! The primer cost £25.00 which, yes is on the pricey side of primers but I haven’t found a primer that brightens my skin and has the staying power of this. Also, I only use primers on special occasions or when I’m out all day and won’t be able to top up, thus it will last me a while! The lady also used NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder, which was incredible! I was so so so close to buying it but just couldn’t spend all that money at once!! It made the skin feel so soft and even and not the slightest bit cakey or drying. I really think I’ll be getting it sometime soon though! I’m not a massive powder person as I feel it defeats the benefits of a glowy foundation, but this powder just ticked all the boxes for the perfect powder!! That cost £25.00. She also used NARS Laguna bronzer (£27) which was also beautiful and Orgasm blusher (£21). I have definitely been converted into a NARS girl, sadly for my bank account, but so far I’m really impressed with their products. Hope everyone is loving this gorgeous weather in the UK! I was boiling in London, how I’ve missed the heat! Lots of love, Alice xx
