Allpress Espresso Bar – Shoreditch, London

Hello Everyone!

Today I thought I’d give a little shoutout to this cute espresso bar in Shoreditch. Allpress originates from New Zealand  and has made its way over to Blighty! It’s interior design is right up my street, really rustic and natural wooden materials. It reminds me of my favourite cafe in Florence, Ditta Artigianale, although significantly smaller!

This adorable retro cafe specialises in the espresso, which I can say from first hand is fab. I’ve really missed independent coffee bars and cafes since returning from Florence, the UK is flooded with the huge chain companies like Starbucks and Costa. I think the independent coffee bars are so much better, they provide a more artisan quality coffee. I think the food and snacks are better and are mostly homemade on site – probably significantly healthier too! There’s no doubt however, that I do love a Starbucks every now and then, especially with their seasonal specials! (Counting down to the Red Cups already)

Whilst I was popping into Allpress Shoreditch, I had a spot of lunch of Avocado and Toast, which was so yummy. Really simple but so tasty –  I’d recommend it if you’re passing by! My friend had a hot chocolate and cookie, which was praised too!

IMG_3786Just a few shops down from Allpress was this amazing tea shop, which sold every single tea you could possible imagine and more!! So if you love your teas I’d definitely swing by there!!

Allpress Espresso bar is just a stones throw away from the Shoreditch Highstreet tube station too which was very handy! Check out the website for more information, there is another Allpress in Hackney, which I believe is bigger.

Alpress Shoreditch is open every day (Mon-Fri 7:30-17:00, Sat-Sun 9:00-17:00)

A big thumbs up from a self-proclaimed coffee addict.

Lots of love,

Alice xx

  1. I loved this post! You take such great pictures of your food and pay really close attention to the details! I feel like I can reach through my phone and grab it! 💜😊 Looking forward to more posts like this!

  2. Sounds great! I totally agree on the quality of coffee at bigger chains in London. There are not a lot of cafés that truly have good quality coffee.. I am definitely going to have a peek at Allpress soon, thanks for sharing!

    1. Yeah it’s so cute and tiny there! Really reminds me of the little Italian espresso bars!! Can imagine living there and popping in to have a quick espresso before work! But yes, I think we need some more independent cafes in our high streets! Let me know what you think when you pop in!!
