NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer VS Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer: Which Is Best?

Hello Everyone,

Hope you’re all well and getting excited for the festive period! I’ve heard so much hype about these two concealers, so I thought I’d test them out myself and see which one deserves the concealer crown.

First up is NARS. It goes without saying that this concealer is wonderful. It’s so creamy, moisturising, light and has great coverage that you can also build without it caking. It feels slightly air-whipped in texture hence it seeming quite lightweight. It also has a nice range of shades available (15 shades). This is great for under eye, which is what I mainly use it for, but also for concealing imperfections. It is non-comedogenic, which means it won’t clog up your pores and hence avoiding the awful vicious circle of trying to cover the breakouts and consequently causing more to join the party. It’s light diffusing too which means it won’t dull your completion and give some dimension to your face. Overall I highly rate this concealer.

Now for Urban Decay. I also really love this concealer, it’s really really lightweight, more so than NARS, I find this more of a thinner, wetter consistency, rather than the mousse-y texture of NARS. You’d think that because of this the coverage wouldn’t be very high, yet it really is, I’d suggest that if you have dryer skin, this would be best as it doesn’t cling to dry patches and is more moisturising than the NARS. Another bonus is the get a lot of product of on the wand which is perfect to conceal under eye as well as any imperfections you may have, something that is lacking with NARS, as you have to pump a few times to get your desired finish. Yet despite it’s many pros, the colour range is pretty dire (8 shades), particularly for women/men of colour. I think UD is best for under-eye concealing to brighten up your complexion since it is very light diffusing, this I feel it’s not too great for breakouts as such, but can obviously still be used for that purpose too.

So overall, both great and you won’t be disappointed with any of them in my opinion. NARS is more multipurpose, heavier (but still lightweight) than the UD, better shade range, yet more expensive. Whereas Urban Decay is very light, better for dryer skin and more light reflecting, but not the best on breakouts. I think for me, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is my winner, but I really depends on what features you want and your skin type.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: £22.50

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer: £17.50

Let me know what you’re fave is!

Lots of love,

Alice xx
