Aromi – Cambridge

Hello, or should I say Ciao!!

I cannot believe it took me this long to try Aromi in Cambridge!! I heard my colleagues talking about it and considering I’m absolutely obsessed with Italy!

My equally Italy- obsessed friend Gabriella and I popped over for a spot of lunch and a macchiato. Ahhh it was amazing!! I had the Capricciosa Focaccia which had cheese, ham, artichokes and tomatoes and it was divine. There were so many different focaccias, which really didn’t help my indecisive self!!

Since I moved back from Florence I have been searching high and low for a macchiato that can equate to those in Florence. But to no avail. I had been saying to my Italian colleague that I just cannot find a macchiato that’s creamy and smooth like those in Italy. HOWEVER, my quest is complete. Oh mio dio. I had my sip and literally squealed with joy! No joke!! Gabriella can vouch for my excitement!! It was so silky, smooth, creamy and not at all bitter. Amazing!! Felt like I was back in Florence having my afternoon macchiato!!

So on an absolute coffee high, I just couldn’t leave without trying their Cannoli, so I had a classic mini “Cannolicchi”, which was additionally fab!!

If you’re in Cambridge I highly recommend going to this little treasure. There’s also another place which serves more cooked food like pizza and lasagna, which I will be trying on Friday!!!

Alice xx
