I had been wanting this highlighter for YONKS! I finally took the plunge when I was given vouchers! I got the shade Devotion after much deliberation, I believed this would be the most suited to my pasty pasty skin tone.
It’s a rally beautiful powder, that is really buildable. You can apply a sheer layer with a fan or looser bristled brush, or create a more intense blinding glow with a smaller compacted brush or your fingers. Literally every time I wear this, I always get a compliment on my skin. Additionally, it’s really long lasting, blendable and natural (if you want it to be!)
I really love the design of the powder….which is pretty ruined now after many many uses…Also, the fact I’ve used this highlighter a lot, shows how long this will actually last me as there are many parts of the powder that I haven’t touched yet!
The only down side is the packaging, mainly the size of it…it’s not the best travelling companion as it takes up a fair bit of room!! BUT it does have a wonderfully large mirror which is always a perk when you need a quick touch up on the go.
I love how Laura Mercier has catered for different skin tones, since there are 4 shades ranging from super light (me) to beautifully deep tones. The highlighter costs £32, which yes, it is expensive BUT I do find that the luxury brands do highlighters better than highstreet, hence better to spend than save if you want that blinding glow. However, if you’ve found a good highstreet highlighter PLEASE let me know. Always up for a bargain!
Lots of love,
